Factors to Look For When Building Content

When you build your website content, you may wonder how is it good content. If we expect good SEO performance of the website, these questions may be refined into what kind of content needed to achieve good SEO performance. Here are some things you should consider in developing content.

1. On-Page SEO

The importance of content in the context of on-page SEO has been recognized since long. That is why I have even ignored the possibility that content is no longer "reasonable" if the public visitors, just to cram as many keywords into the content. At the time when people talk to SEO copywriting that instantly appears on our heads is what keywords should appear in it.

There are two major problems here. First item is no longer often become uncomfortable read by visitors. 2. Conversion

Another thing to consider in developing the content is a conversion. Basically we build a website because they want to lead people to do what we want them to do, maybe buy the products that we offer, fill out a membership form, and so forth. Good content should be able to influence people to do things that we want it. Serious players often experiment with giving some different content and monitor the reactions of visitors.

One of the frequently used is Google's Website Optimizer. The concept is put through several tests to make some content variations to then monitor the reactions of visitors. Often, little changes actually give a great effect. Variations best conversion pages can then be chosen as the standard. In general, this conversion in terms of many practitioners believe "less is more", meaning simple content without a lot of knick-knacks convoluted that actually interfere with the concentration of visitors actually give a better conversion.

Indeed there are two different sides of the tug and pull here. Content that is large with long sentences, as long as it is considered reasonable, preferred search engine. With great content you have a better chance to get a high ranking and therefore visited by many people. But the principle of simplicity to convert better, maybe we should cut long sentences into more simple and short. This could affect the ranking of the website itself.

3. Backlink

From the off-page SEO we all understand the importance of backlinks. If we expect to get backlinks without having to buy it or make the exchange, try Think why people feel the need to create a link to your website or web page. Those with big names such as celebrity, character, or famous brand may be able to get backlinks only from the name of the course. But if we are not one of them, the only way is by providing content that is unique, interesting, and quality.

Many people use a strategy popularly known as link baiting which simply can be defined as developing content that is targeted to get the link as much as possible. We need to be extra cautious here because sometimes for being too focused on getting the link we just forget about conversion as our main target. Effective content to attract links are often not effective for conversion and vice versa.

4. Social Media

Besides backlinks from other websites, it is important you also get links from the online social media network users such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as from media social bookmarking such as Digg or Delicious. Only you have to be careful with it negative reaction from the online social environment.

Conclusion

When you think of a strategy to build content and how much would you allocate resources to those needs, make sure you pay attention to the four factors above. Maybe you will make certain pages which is focused on one or one to two factors alone, but overall you should pay attention to everything.
